Jessica Fahy Art Historian

This one hour lecture will focus on paintings by the 18th century artist Élisabeth Louise Vigée Le Brun. A prominent French portrait painter in the Rococo style she was patronised by Queen Marie-Antoinette, an association that led the artist to flee during the French Revolution. Her works will be placed within the context of her life and the time in which she lived.
