Week 2: Albrecht Dürer (German, 1471-1528)

Northern Renaissance artist who was a specialist in many eras including oil painting, watercolours, engraving and printmaking. He was also a theorist and one of the first Northern artist to travel to Italy during this period. He produced a vast array of subject matter from self-portraits to detailed botanical works to apocalyptic nightmares.
