Join me for an exclusive art history tour of the treasure chest that is St Nahi’s church in Dundrum. Built in the middle of the 18th century, this church of simple outward appearance holds a wealth of important historical and artistic objects including the baptismal font believed to be the one in which the Duke of Wellington was baptised in 1769. The church also contains an impressive array of stained glass windows from many important artists including Evie Hone, Catherine O'Brien and A.E. Child and other members of An Túr Gloine. There are beautiful pieces from Cuala industries by the Yeats sisters who are buried in the cemetery, and a tour of which will be included which will explore their special connection to the area.
